Most children do best in their home environment and around familiar people. That’s why we’ve designed our evaluations to take place via Telehealth. We want to see your child interact with you in their safe environment.

When you receive a report from us, it will have two parts. One is parent focused recommendations. The other is a formal report that we have developed to help minimize back-and-forth with insurance when you apply for services for your child. In all the years of testing, we’ve only twice had insurance refuse services to a child we evaluated, and we personally got on the phone with insurance to advocate for the child.

Getting your child support in a short time frame is vital. We therefore keep our turnaround as short as possible, with final results of testing ready within 2 weeks of testing completion.

A Message from the Founders
We’re Dr. Tova Lane and Dr. Sara Seplowitz, co-founders of Redirections Evaluations.
Dr. Lane holds a PsyD in School Psychology from the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology at Rutgers University. She has spent years providing evaluations and therapy for individuals with autism, driven by a lifelong connection to the autism community.
Dr. Seplowitz earned her PhD in School Psychology from Hofstra University and brings extensive experience in assessment, educational consultation, and supporting families navigating special education systems.
Together, we founded Redirections Evaluations because we’ve both seen how confusing and overwhelming the diagnostic process can be for families. Parents often find themselves forced into the role of bureaucratic warriors—advocating, coordinating, and fighting for the services their children need—while trying to make sense of conflicting information.
We believe that children with autism don’t need to be “changed” or “fixed.” They need environments—both therapeutic and educational—that truly understand them. Too often, traditional, neurotypical-centered systems fail to meet these children where they are. Our evaluations are designed to help families gain clarity, receive the right diagnoses, and move forward with confidence.

Initial Booking: Schedule your appointment via phone or email.
Pre-Evaluation: Complete necessary forms to provide us with background information.
Evaluation Day: Your child and you will meet with our clinician for a comprehensive assessment.
